Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities Climate Action Network

Welcome!

The overarching goal of this network is to support climate mitigation and adaptation in the Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities (VICC) region. To achieve this goal, the network will: 

• include local government staff from municipalities, regional districts, and Indigenous governments from the VICC region, 
• focus primarily on regionally relevant topics and issues, 
• promote the sharing of climate action-related knowledge and the discussion and leveraging of opportunities;  
• identify opportunities for collaborative implementation and convene implementation clusters; 
• focus on holistic climate action, including mitigation, adaptation, resilience, and equity 
• provide opportunities for staff to give and receive feedback to various levels of government at both elected and staff levels

Who can join this network?

Local Government Staff and Indigenous Government staff from the region, invited guests.
