This policy position paper presents the Canadian Board for Harmonized Construction Codes’ (CBHCC) approach to reducing embodied greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for new houses and buildings in the National Model Codes. The purpose of this paper is to support the development of technical provisions in the 2030 code cycle.
