Resilience Peer Network Lunch & Learn: The Power of Natural Assets
Overview
Guest speaker: Roy Brooke – Executive Director, Natural Assets Initiative
Hear from the Natural Assets Initiative about the power of natural assets. This session will provide an overview of natural asset management, how it can be applied by local governments, and its intersections with climate risk and adaptation.
The RSPN is a province-wide network that primarily supports local governments and Indigenous communities to advance climate adaptation and resilience and emergency management. The network also welcomes participation from others working in supporting roles – such as public sector agencies, utilities, health authorities, post-secondary and NGOs – who are helping to build climate resilience at the local and regional scale.
This project is carried out with funding from the Federation of Canadian Municipalities’ Green Municipal Fund and the Government of Canada.
