Electric Mobility Peer Network

Welcome!

The EMPN aims to support communities in accelerating the transition to electric mobility to reduce transportation emissions and maximize community well-being. The network provides a regular channel for staff from municipalities, regional districts, and Indigenous communities in BC to get the most up-to-date information from other communities, other levels of government, utilities, and partners. The collaborative network focuses on capacity building, fostering replication, knowledge transfer, relationship building, and collective voice.

The EMPN has the following network objectives to support communities in accelerating the transition to electric mobility:

  • Support staff from municipalities, regional districts, and Indigenous communities to share knowledge, replicate learnings, and adapt high-impact actions to their context.
  • Increase information sharing between local and other levels of government and partners regarding relevant resources and updates on policies, programs, and funding.
  • Build professional connections and relationships while providing a supportive and positive climate community.
  • Facilitate the exchange of valuable mentorship and provide foundational climate education for staff.

Who can join the network?

Open to all staff from municipalities, regional districts, and Indigenous communities in BC. Also, open to staff from other levels of government, utilities, academic institutions, and other municipally adjacent organizations upon invitation.
